Stats crunch
The population of the UK spends just over £2billion on consumer magazines, buying 1,377 million copies:
- 75% of all UK adults read a consumer title
- 84% of 15-24yr olds read a consumer title
As at 2006, some 3,409 different magazine titles are published in the UK - a number that has increased by 21 per cent over the last 10 years. Ad expenditure runs at around £812million.
